Ga Dual Sport Adventure Ride 2023

Feb.  4th 2023  


The Ga Dual Sport Riders is hosting another DS Adventure ride on Feb 4th 2023    


Due to the popular demand for the Scull DS Ride, we have created just the Adventure ride portion and adding more miles without incorporating any single tract option.   


 

This is an just for fun event, there are no fees or costs associated with the ride other than your own expenses.  As a just for fun event, there are no formal dinners, meetings or official rides or routes.  We will utilize the information provided  with registration  for communications about the event and as a gauge of how many folks we can expect for the informal events and rides.  We look forward to seeing you in Georgia!


We Will Be meeting at Poss-umm Cafe  (Google it)  

4380 Lexington Rd, Washington, GA 30673

there is plenty of day parking Behind the cafe 

Cafe opens @ 6:00 for breakfast


KSU 8:25 am  Last group out 8:30am

Short meeting before hand 

 


Miles of back county dirt roads, with just enough pavement to connect them. Come ride some the best adventure riding in Georgia . 


Rideable by all skill levels on 250's to 1190cc. Knobbies not needed but it’s more fun with them. ( NO Street Slicks)  


The route is self-guided with gas & food along the way. 



GPS Tracks  will be emailed to registered riders only  @ Friday 5pm  


 


Q)  Can I ride on Friday ? 

A)  Yes,  this is not a sanctioned ride - routes will not be available until Sat Morning    

Q)  Is this a ride for my KTM300 (plated) or my DR650? 

A)   BMW or DR/KLR best for dirt roads - DOT knobbies recommended  


Q)  Is there food available ? 

A)  yes - the Poss-umn Cafe opens at 7am and the GPS will have Food stops on/off the route available.

Q)  Is this ride AMA Sanctioned

A)  No,

Q)  Is primitive camping available 

A)  No,  there are lots of cities around with hotels,  call or email for more information  

Q)  Is there gas available ?

A)  Yes,  there will be gas stops on/off the route available

Q)  What is the cancellation policy 

A)  There are no refunds BUT you can sell your ticket to another rider - just send an email to Admin with the new riders name and phone number  


Q)  I am coming by myself, can I ride with someone else ?

A)  Yes, at the riders meeting there will be a few 'solo' riders that get matched up 


 Pandemic  issues - no refunds      Rider issues - no refunds      If the Event is rescheduled due to ICE, ACTS of GOD or other issues  - Paid Registration is good for rescheduled event -    



3  General Rules 

  • Don't over ride your skill level
  • Stay on right side of road (especially around corners ) 
  • Don't follow too close (on Dirt Roads)
