The area offers rewarding twisties, impressive vistas and renowned mountain hospitality. Hiawassee is located just minutes from some of the finest roads in the country, including Deal’s Gap, the Cherohala Skyway, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. For dual sport riding, there are many great forest roads to suit all skill levels.
Event registration includes lakeside tent campsites on grass for Friday and Saturday nights (showers and bathrooms on site). Enhanced campsites and RV lots with full hookups, booked directly with the Fairgrounds, are also available.
1st Annual Cherokee Dual Sport
5/28-2022 is the first year for the Cherokee Dual Sport. It will have some of the Cherokee Enduro Riders enduro trail so Enduro style bike is recommended. To find out more information and last minute changes check out the Club’s Page.

Georgia Recreational Trail Riders Association Proudly presents the "Hooch Dual Sport Ride" as a fund raising event to help insure that the USFS OHV parks of Georgia remain open and in good condition.
This event is sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA), for quiet street-legal dual sport motorcycles. It includes two days of scenic riding in the North Georgia Mountains. The ride is open to all Dual Sport Enthusiasts!
AMA membership is not required.
Entry fee includes ride both days, catered lunch both days, and ride T-Shirt.
There is 150 rider limit, and online registrations by midnight, May 23rd to be accepted, so Don't Delay.

The Blue Ridge 250 is a charity fundraising event to support FOCUS + Fragile Kids and provide an enjoyable motorcycle adventure for its participants. It is actually two events in one, providing a 250 mile day of sport touring over the Southern Appalachian’s best roads and a shorter route which includes some unpaved Forest Service roads for adventurer touring and dual sport riders. Explicit route instructions will guide the rider along the spectacular designated routes.

This is a fund raising event sponsored by GARTRA, Georgia Recreational Trail Riders Association. All proceeds go to support GARTRA's efforts to maintain trail systems in the U.S. Forest Service ORV parks in Georgia

A weekend of fairly easy Dual-Sport riding.
Mostly two-track, lots of gravel, some rocks, some dirt. Weather should be mild/cool 50-75 degrees Fahrenheit
There are a number of suggested routes to choose from and your hosts,
Doug Pippin and Norm Kern will help you load your GPS.
Soil in this area is sandy/loamy and drains quickly so there isn't much slippery mud. That said, there are areas that do not favor the large over 1000cc bikes.

Scull Shoals Dual Sport has developed some of the best possible on/off road Dual Sport routes you can ride in middle Georgia. Our objective is to offer the most versatile Dual Sport riding in the state of Georgia. Most of our routes are over 80% dirt roads with creek crossings, beautiful swamps, and very famous historic landmark stops. Very little gravel, mostly hard packed dirt/clay roads. All roads are Adventure Bike friendly. Trails, jumps, hill climbs, and single track in https://www.georgiaoffroadadventures.com gives each individual rider an option to add a little more challenge to their adventure.
